Ex Pupil

When I first met Emma I was in a bad place. I hadn’t been in mainstream education for a few years due to the intense bullying I had endured. At that point, I hardly left my bedroom, and my confidence was at an all time low.

When my mum told me that some people were coming over to talk to me, I didn’t expect much to happen, but I instantly knew this was different. Emma and Sarah were so friendly from the beginning and made me feels so at ease. I knew after meeting them my life was about to change.

I then started lessons with Stepping Stones, first at home, then at the Tamworth school, I have to thank the whole team that helped me: Emma R, Dave, Rav, Jonas, Kara, Simon, James and the many others that were involved in the journey. The staff Emma employs show just how much she cares about her students as they were all passionate and caring.

Stepping Stones allowed me to gain much more confidence and even helped me to make friends (I hadn’t spoken to anyone my age in over a year) This newly found confidence allowed me to study for my GCSES online, and later with a maths/science tutor in my home. I passed my exams which meant I could then do my A levels.

Currently I am studying Psychology a Coventry University which I know wouldn’t be possible without Emma’s help. Firstly because she helped me gain the qualifications needed buat also because her enthusiasm and compassion has inspired me to help others who are I similar situations to me.
